Welcome to the A Dog Has No Name and A Cat Has No Name reporting website. This site collects observations and photographs of dogs and cats found deceased in the community, submitted by concerned citizens like you. We are collecting this data for a number of reasons including disease surveillance, trauma analysis, and, in unfortunate cases, identification of animal abuse.
Ultimately, we will tell the story of many of these dogs and cats. We retain photographs and DNA samples of all dogs and cats enrolled in our programs with hopes of finding these animals’ owners. Although these dogs and cats are no longer with us, we can provide closure for these loving animals families.
To enter observations, simply fill out the form below. Please provide as much information as possible about the location where the animal was found. GPS coordinates work best. If you provide photographs, please enable the geotag function on your phone or take several photographs of the surrounding area so we may more readily identify the area where the animal was found.
