On November 7, we made an amazing discovery! Of the eight articles highlighted as "Top Cited" on the Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (VAA) Journal website, five came from Dr. Diego Portela's lab. These articles were all mentored or first authored by Dr. Portela, who is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology in the Department of Comparative, Diagnostic and Population Medicine. VAA is the most prestigious journal within his specialty. We congratulate Dr. Portela for this impressive accomplishment!
